Accessing online resources

If you are not already logged into the RCS England website, please log in and then click on the link to the article or journal.

At ScienceDirect, click the Sign in link in the top right hand corner of the screen:

If you have logged-in to ScienceDirect before, the website may recognise you and offer a direct link for the College under the title Access through your organization. If this is the case, you can click on the Access through The Royal College of ... button; if the institution displayed is not us, click on Try another way beneath it:

Otherwise on the Welcome page, click on the Sign in via your organization link below the main form:

On the Find your organization page, begin typing Royal College of Surgeons of England into the search field marked Organization name or email:

A list of matching names will appear: select the College from the list:

The website will now ask you to confirm you are logging in with us. Click on the Access through The Royal College of ... button:

You will now be logged in to the website. If you are already registered with ScienceDirect, you will see your name and our logo in the top right hand corner.

If your final destination is lost in the process, you can go back to click the original link to the article or journal, which will take you straight there.

Registration

If this is your first visit to an Elsevier product, you may have to register with the website. If you are already registered with another Elsevier product, the site should recognise this from your account and link the profiles.

When prompted, enter your email address, and then your name. Be sure to check the terms and conditions and privacy links. Once this is completed, you should have full access to our subscriptions at ScienceDirect.
